Course Description
Despite the best efforts of responsible authorities or facilities to safely manage hazardous situations, there may still be incidents that might escalate into catastrophes. Many incidents in the past demonstrate the ongo­ing need for high-level competence in emergency preparedness and continued attention to preventing and mitigating such events. The Emergency Response Manager program aims to develop a practical as well as theoretical base for those people who have responsibilities in the field of Emergency Risk Management. The course is designed to meet the needs and interests of a variety of client groups concerned with the protection of life and property in industrial setting in case of emergencies and disasters instigated from both natural and technological hazards.
The Training Course Will Highlight ?

This CERM program interlaces together the basic fundamentals of emergency management activities based on established government legislations and standards, to enable concerned groups to become more resilient and supportive from an emergency management perspective.

Training Objective

By the end of this course delegates will be able to:

  • Identify the elements which are commonly encountered in an emergency
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of crisis communications and the appropriate roles and responsibilities

  • Learn how to investigate the root cause and contributing factors that led to the emergency

  • Have the knowledge to communicate the emergency to all employees to benefit from lessons learned
  • Take appropriate action to reduce the likelihood of loss; and mitigate against the possible extent of loss
