Course Description
The management of physical assets is critical to the economy of many countries. How we manage assets determines the efficiency of companies and how competitive we are in the world market. Much money is spent annually on maintaining and developing the asset base and providing services to improve Asset Management has in itself become a major competitive market internationally. The “Certified Asset Management Assessor” (CAMA) certification Workshop (CAMA exam preparation Course) is designed to familiarize participants with what constitutes an ISO55001 compliant asset managed environment, and to support their knowledge and comprehension to undertake the CAMA exam. The CAMA Assessor has the basic knowledge in asset management required by the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) to audit or assess an Asset Management system to the requirements of ISO55001. CAMA certification is granted upon successful completion of a 2-hour exam and demonstration of relevant experience (minimum 5 years). The exam has been designed to test for knowledge defined in the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) document, “GFMAM ISO 55001 Auditor/Assessor Specification as well as the GFMAM Landscape.“
The Training Course Will Highlight ?

This course will provide participants with guidance regarding the development, implementation & maintenance of an organization’s asset management system in the context of ISO 55000. It will also help participants to prepare for the CAMA certificate.

The CAMA exam has been developed and is offered by the World Partners in Asset Management, a partnership of non-profit professional associations including the ABRAMAN (Brazil), AM Council (Australia), GSMR (Gulf States), JAAM (Japan), SAAMA (Southern Africa), and PEMAC (Canada). This preparation course has been developed and is aligned with the WPiAM landscape document. 

Exam: What are the prerequisites for the certification?

Applicants must:

  • Have a minimum 5 years of working experience in asset management;
  • Complete a professional profile which is then reviewed and approved by the WPiAM Technical Team. This professional profile is used to demonstrate compliance with ISO 17021-5 “Competence requirements for auditing and certification of asset management systems” that requires auditors to have experience in certain industry types and asset classes

 Applicants should:

  • have working knowledge of ISO 5500X Standards; and
  • Understand the GFMAM Competency Specification for an ISO 55001 Asset Management System Auditor/Assessor.
