Course Description
In high-reliability industries, there is growing recognition of the importance of cultural and behavioral aspects of safety management. Organizational factors, such as perceived management commitment to safety, play a pivotal role in shaping safety outcomes. However, practical and effective intervention strategies are often underdeveloped. This course explores the role of supervisors as safety leaders and their impact on safety culture improvement programs. Safety culture is defined as the collective values, attitudes, and behaviors that determine an organization’s commitment to health and safety. A robust safety culture emphasizes shared perceptions of safety's importance, mutual trust, and confidence in preventive measures

· Understanding behavior and people skills to mitigate risks.

Day 3: Behavior-Based System

· Management systems and their influence on safety culture.

· Principles of behavior-based psychology for safety.

· Identifying diseases and obstacles to effective safety culture.

· Techniques for assessing and sustaining organizational cultural change.

Day 4: Active Listening

· Nonverbal communication and its significance.

· Techniques for effective speaking and active listening.

· Communication strategies to overcome barriers.

· Handling problem employees through counseling and discipline.

· Understanding and applying the 7%-38%-55% rule in communication.

Day 5: Presentation Skills

· Developing presentation techniques and overcoming nerves.

· Structuring presentations for impact.

· Managing audience questions effectively.

· Key tips for delivering great presentations.

· Managers’ checklist for safety communication.

BTS certificate will be issued to all attendees completing minimum of 75% of the total tuition hours of the course.
