Day 2: Environmental Management Systems & ISO 14001

• Introduction to Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
• ISO 14001:2015 framework – key clauses and implementation steps
• Environmental policy development
• Roles, responsibilities, and EMS documentation
• Internal audits and continual improvement

Case Study: Implementing ISO 14001 in a manufacturing firm
Exercise: Develop an EMS policy for a mock company

Day 3: Environmental Impact Assessment & Legal Compliance

• Overview of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process
• Environmental risk and aspect analysis
• Environmental laws, permits, and compliance obligations
• National and international regulatory frameworks (EPA, UNEP, local laws)
• Environmental auditing and reporting obligations

Simulation: Conducting a mini EIA for a hypothetical project

Day 4: Pollution Control, Waste & Resource Efficiency

• Air, water, and soil pollution: sources, effects, and control
• Solid and hazardous waste management

• Introduction to circular economy and green design

Workshop: Build a basic sustainability report/dashboard
