Major Emergency Management (MEM) (Setting Up & Improving Safety Department’s Good Management System)

Crises challenge organizations to respond creatively to high-stakes and novel circumstances. Today not only traditional emergency responders must be ready for crises, but also private and nonprofit organizations, as well as a wider spectrum of public sector responders. This course takes a managerial perspective on crisis management and emergency preparedness. It focuses both on what responders must do during the critical period of crisis response and on how organizations can prepare themselves for high performance in these situations. It examines which skills and management systems crises demand; considers the differences between managing routine emergencies and crises; and asks how organizations can effectively prepare for crises in advance.

The Training Course Will Highlight ?

The program will give you the skills necessary to ensure your organization can respond to major emergencies and disasters effectively. It covers the full range of the mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery phases of emergency and disaster management. The course structure meets against the OPITO OIM Controlling Emergencies Standard Code: 7025. Moreover; the course provides general information and guidelines about Process Safety Management (PSM) elements. It will introduce each PSM element and the specific guidelines for integrating PSM element requirements into other corporate programs and evaluating program compliance throughout the implementation phase.
