Course Description
A variety of vehicles are used for many different tasks every day in workplaces nationwide, and some of these tasks can be dangerous. Banksman training ensures that an organization meets its legal requirements and reduces the risk of costly accidents when carrying out common, but dangerous, reversing maneuvers.
Rigging tends to be highly specialized job that cannot be accomplished by ordinary means of moving and material handling equipment. It is designed for moving and lifting objects weighing hundreds and thousands of pounds or kilograms in places where ordinary material handling equipment cannot go.
This training provides general advice on how to manage workplace rigging and transport safely. It also provides information on some risks associated with common vehicle and rigging operations, and how to deal with safety for each type of operation.
