Day 1: Foundations of Asset Data and Material Excellence The first day introduces the concept of material excellence and its link to asset performance. Participants explore the role of accurate data in reducing downtime, improving procurement efficiency, and supporting decision-making. Case studies illustrate how poor data quality impacts operations.

Day 2: Asset Data Standards and Governance This day focuses on international standards for asset data (such as ISO 8000 and ISO 55000) and governance frameworks. Participants learn methods for data validation, cleansing, and establishing master data management systems. Exercises include identifying inconsistencies in sample datasets.

Day 3: Material Cataloguing and Classification Participants dive into cataloguing techniques, taxonomy, and classification systems (e.g., UNSPSC, eCl@ss). The day emphasizes building a structured material master, eliminating duplicates, and standardizing descriptions. Practical sessions involve creating catalog entries and applying classification rules.

Day 4: Technology Integration and ERP Systems The fourth day explores how ERP, CMMS, and digital platforms support asset data and material management. Topics include system integration, automation, and analytics. Participants engage in simulations of ERP workflows, focusing on procurement, inventory, and maintenance modules.

Day 5: Strategy Development and Implementation The final day consolidates learning into actionable strategies. Participants design a material excellence roadmap for their organizations, including governance policies, technology adoption, and continuous improvement practices. Group presentations allow sharing of strategies and peer feedback.
