Operations and maintenance front line supervisor responsible for supervising and/or advising unit operators, maintenance crafts and contractors. Whether you are a new or experienced front line supervisor or you’re hoping to step into the role, this course will provide a thorough immersion in the knowledge and skills you need to create a culture of safety and make a real difference. 

Day 1:

Foundations of Process Safety & Workforce Engagement

·         Ensuring safety during operational changes

·         Group activity: MOC scenario planning and discussion

 

Day 3:

Operating, Maintenance & Safe Work Practices 

·         Operating and Maintenance Procedures 

·         Developing and following safe procedures 

·         Best practices for operational consistency

·         Safe Work Practices 

·         Job safety analyses 

·         Permit to work systems and their importance

·         Hands-on workshop: Reviewing and improving procedures and work practices

 

Day 4:

Conduct of Operations, Contractor Management & Metrics 

·         Conduct of Operations 

·         Safe and disciplined operational behavior 

·         Incident prevention through conduct

·         Contractor Management 

·         Overseeing contractor safety performance 

·         Integrating contractors into the safety culture

·         Group activity: Developing contractor safety checklists

·         Metrics and Audits

·         Conducting effective safety audits

 

Day 5:

Management Review & Course Wrap-Up 

·         Management Review 

·         Analyzing safety data 

·         Using reviews to drive continuous improvement

·         Integration workshop: Creating a personal action plan for safety leadership 

·         Course review, Q&A, and feedback session

BTS attendance certificate will be issued to all attendees completing minimum of 80% of the total course duration.
