LPG and NGL Plant Operation
Course Description

This comprehensive training course provides participants with a strong operational understanding of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) plant processes.
The course focuses on the control room activities, emphasizing monitoring, control strategies, troubleshooting, and safety procedures within LPG and NGL fractionation and handling systems. Participants will also gain insight into loading operations for liquid hydrocarbons, fractionation control, and emergency response techniques in plant operations.

Through practical sessions, real case studies, and DCS-based operational scenarios, participants will develop the confidence to manage LPG and NGL plant operations safely and efficiently.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Realize the configuration and operation of LPG and NGL plants.
  • Apply knowledge of fractionation processes and gas conditioning systems.
  • Operate and monitor the LPG/NGL systems using DCS controls.
  • Identify sales specifications and product quality parameters for LPG and NGL products.
  • Recognize and handle troubleshooting and emergency situations effectively.
  • Cognize cargo loading operations and the associated safety requirements.
  • Comprehend the behavior and properties of gas–liquid phases in operational contexts.

Control Room Operators, Field Operators, and Supervisors involved in the operation and control of LPG and NGL processing, storage, and loading systems.
