Course Description
The Certified Protection Professional (CPP)® credential demonstrates an individual’s knowledge and management skills in seven key domains of security. The CPP is recognised worldwide as the standard for security management professionals, covering security principles, business operations, investigations, personnel, physical security, information security, and crisis management. Those who earn the CPP are ASIS board-certified in security management. Eligibility requirement: The Certified Protection Professional certification is designed for senior-level security managers with five to seven years of related experience, with at least three years in responsible charge of a security function.

    • Create and deliver employee security awareness initiatives.

Module Two: Business Principles and Practices

    • Develop and manage budgets with clear financial oversight.
    • Establish policies, plans, and procedures aligned with organisational objectives.
    • Monitor and enhance operational efficiency across security functions.
    • Plan staffing needs and professional development for security teams.
    • Promote ethical standards and compliance across all security activities.
    • Support management in vendor selection and performance agreements.

Module Three: Investigations

    • Direct and manage investigative programmes and activities.
    • Ensure proper collection, handling, and preservation of evidence.
    • Develop investigative policies and operational guidelines.
    • Oversee surveillance activities and related tools.
    • Lead investigations requiring specialised expertise or technology.
    • Conduct structured investigative interviews.
    • Coordinate with legal counsel by providing evidence and testimony for proceedings.

Module Four: Personnel Security

    • Implement and manage background screening for employees and contractors.
    • Establish workplace safety measures to prevent harassment and violence.
    • Develop executive protection protocols for high-risk roles.

Module Five: Physical Security

    • Conduct security surveys to assess site vulnerabilities.
    • Implement physical security solutions to reduce identified risks.
    • Test and monitor existing security measures for effectiveness.

Module Six: Information Security

    • Assess information systems and facilities for security gaps.
    • Develop controls to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse of data.
    • Manage integrated safeguards to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

Module Seven: Crisis Management

    • Identify potential threats and assess organisational vulnerabilities.
    • Create crisis response and continuity plans.
    • Coordinate response actions during incidents.
    • Manage recovery and ensure resumption of normal operations after crises

Module Eight: Test taking overview & strategies

    • Exam format and blueprint. Know domain weights and question styles, including multiple choice.
    • Setting a steady pace, use flagging and elimination, keep a review buffer.
    • Timed practice with mock test
  • A BTS Attendance Certificate will be issued to all participants who complete a minimum of 80% of the total course duration.

  • Optionally, participants may pursue the CPP Certification at an additional fee. This certification is managed independently and can be arranged directly online by the participants themselves.
