Course Description
ISO 14001 environmental management systems lead auditor course teaches the principles and practices of effective environmental management systems (EMSs) and process audits in accordance with the ISO 14000 series of standards and ISO 19011, guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing. Experienced instructors guide students through the entire audit process, from managing an audit program to reporting on audit results. Students gain necessary auditing skills through a balance of formal classroom tutorials, practical role-playing, group workshops, and open forum discussions. This course enables participants to be familiar with the basic concepts of the implementation and management of an environmental management system (EMS) as specified in ISO 14001:2004. The participant will learn the different components of an EMS, including the EMS policy, procedures, measuring performance, management’s commitment, internal audit, management review and continual improvement. This course enables participants to learn about the best practices for implementing and managing an environmental management system (EMS) as specified in ISO 14001:2015. This course also helps to understand how ISO 14001 relates with other management systems. The participant will learn the different components of an EMS, including the EMS policy, procedures, measuring performance, management’s commitment, internal audit, management review and continual improvement
