Underground Power Cables Selection, Installation, Jointing and termination
Course Description
The main Aim of this course is to empower the participant’s understanding of selection, installing , inspection of power Transmission cables . The participant will exit the course with greater ability to analyze common power cables circuit problems. The participant will also have a stronger understanding of Transmission system Installation & Maintenance and power system component equipment operation, troubleshooting. Power system at Transmission level should be planned and designed with consideration for ease of operation. Such considerations include, but are not limited to utilization of standard components, facilitate availability of spare parts, optimization of post contingency switching operations, reduction of operational risks and use of special protection systems (SPSs). Also, to achieve the required power supply reliability, power system planning-particularly for medium-voltage system must con-sider not only the system configuration and earthing, etc. but also the arrangement of the stations, the choice of equipment and so on specially power Transmission cables . Also will cover The electrical Safety Training points where it is ideal for those people who need to work on electrical equipment who need a reminder of electrical dangers and safe working practices and also evaluate there experience and skills on dealing with electrical power system and check there understanding of high Skills on isolation , Voltage level ,….

The technicians and maintenance staff will be able to comprehend the construction, operations, function of major electrical power cables system . This will enable them to carry out effective maintenance, installation and selection activities.
