Water Treatment, Operating and Troubleshooting Techniques
Course Description
Water is life. It is the most important compounds on Earth and consists of two chemical elements: hydrogen and oxygen. However, it is important to check and maintain water purity to protect health and the environment and to use it different in industrial purposes. Water available in various sources may contain various types of impurities and cannot be directly used by the public for various purposes, before removing the impurities. The process of removing the impurities from water is called water treatment. The treatment of water is a challenging task that includes many diverse aspects ranging from water quality management, operation and control of water treatment plants.

Provide in-depth knowledge of various water treatment processes, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, adsorption, and advanced treatment techniques

The water treatment course is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of the importance of water treatment and its role in safeguarding public health and the environment.

Familiarize Participants with the fundamental concepts, principles, and processes involved in water treatment. This course is designed to provide Participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to treat water safely and effectively for drinking and other purposes. Identify and analyze different water contaminants, their sources, and potential health effects.

Provide in-depth knowledge of various water treatment processes, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, adsorption, and advanced treatment techniques

At the end of the course the participants will:

    • Gain a good knowledge about the treatment of water.
    • Gain an understanding of the importance of water treatment and the role it plays in protecting public health.
    • Gain a good knowledge about general characteristics water.
    • Knowledge of various microbial and chemical contaminants.
